Cadillac Ranch and Texas

The girls and I have recently returned from our big adventure to Colorado. I must admit that I am having trouble getting motivated to blog about all the stuff that we’ve been up to. I’m feeling so far behind it’s seems an almost daunting task to get back on track again!

However, I’m sure that you’re all dying to hear what we’ve been up to, no matter how uninspired I may be! Ha, we shall see!

Our first major stop was in Texas. We went to Amarillo to catch up with an old friend of mine, Michelle and her family. Michelle was in Papua New Guinea for two years of high school, and during that time we were best friends! It had been about 10 years since we’d caught up with John and Michelle, so it was so much fun to spend time with them, and meet their boys, Josiah, Matthias and Jacob. The kids hit it off straight away, making it easy for the mums to sit and chat! Yippee!!!

Breakfast at The Donut Stop - seriously the best donuts EVER!

Michelle and her boys introduced us to an Amarillo tradition called, The Donut stop, where we had breakfast before heading to Cadillac Ranch. The “Ranch” is a bunch of cars that have been planted in the ground in the middle of a paddock. You can go and paint them, leaving your own stamp on Texas. The kids loved it.

A breakfast of champions!

The kids climbed right on in and got busy!

The girls hard at work!

The girls leave their mark! Aussie, Aussie, Aussie, Oi, Oi, Oi!!!
