Salzburg

So, Emma (Parker) and I (Sharon) had talked long and hard about the Sound of Music Tour, and it was finally here!  We left Scott and the three kids (grateful Mums escape!), and headed into Salzburg from St. Wolfgang.

We got into the city without much trouble, but got quite lost looking for the parking garage that was recommended to us.  An hour later, and many turns, we were mourning our lack of interest in Scott’s GPS earlier in the day!  Oh well, women always think they know best.  Finally we found the parking, which was located in the mountain – yes – in the mountain, and then happily made our way through the city to the tour office.  Again we got slightly lost, and were almost late to the tour!  Luckily we found it in time, fearing the amusement our brothers would have had at our expense if we’d missed the Tour – just like we missed the stage production in Melbourne!
Then we were off!

It was a great afternoon.  I have to say that even without The Sound of Music, Salzburg is an amazing city.  From every direction you look, The Alps are constantly in view.  It is breathtaking!

We had an amazing day, finished off with dinner in the city, before heading back to a very tired Scott! He was definitely one of our “favourite things” that day!
